Vacancy: Teaching Assistant 30 Hours/Week; 8:35am-3:20pm Immediate Start We are looking for a highly motivated teaching assistant to join us from April 2026, or as soon as possible, on a 30 hours per week contract. The contract would be for an initial fixed term until April 2027 whilst pupil support needs are reviewed. The post is Monday to Friday, term time only. The prime responsibility will be to provide class-based learning support for children in EY, KS1 or KS2. There may also be a significant element of supporting children with special educational needs. Supervising children at lunchtime is also a key requirement of the role. Keeping Children Safe in Education The school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
