Salary Grade 5, Pts 7-8 (£15,526 to £15,772 per annum)

27.5 hours per week; Term Time + Inset Days (39 weeks)

Start Date: 26th August 2025

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two individuals to join Highgate Primary School as Learning Support Assistants on a fixed-term basis until 23rd August 2026 (this contract is likely to be extended depending on pupil funding).

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide:

1. Children Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them achieve their full potential. This may include working with SEN children delivering bespoke learning activities.
2. Behaviour Management: Support the implementation of behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
3. Progress Monitoring: Track and report on children’s progress, working closely with teachers to adapt support strategies as needed.
4. Social and Emotional Well-being: Support the social and emotional development of students, helping them build resilience, confidence, and positive relationships.

The ideal candidate will have:

* A Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent (desirable)
* Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably within a primary school. Other experience will also be considered.
* Patience and empathy to support children with diverse needs and backgrounds.
* A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards education and child development.
* Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the varying needs of children and the school environment.
* Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
