Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Locum Community Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic community-based team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals to regain independence and reduce reliance on ongoing care services.
Key Responsibilities:.
* Develop and implement person-centred intervention plans aimed at increasing safety, mobility, and independence.
* Recommend and facilitate the provision of aids, adaptations, and equipment.
* Collaborate effectively with social workers, physiotherapists, carers, and other health professionals.
* Provide timely and accurate documentation to support care planning and service delivery.
* Work proactively to reduce the need for secondary domiciliary care through early intervention and rehabilitation approaches.
Requirements:
* Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
* HCPC registration (UK)
* Proven post-qualification experience in a community setting
* Excellent clinical reasoning and report-writing skills
* Strong knowledge of manual handling, equipment provision, and housing adaptations
* Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently
* Access to own vehicle is essential due to the community-based nature of the role
