Job Title: Scheduler - Distributed Storage Location: Birmingham/ Sheffield Day rate- £350 inside ir35 Start Date: 6 month contract Job Type: Contract We have an exciting new contract opportunity for a Scheduler - Distributed Storage with one of our leading financial services clients on a 6 month contract Job Responsibilities/Objectives A Scheduler is required within Distributed Storage to support the delivery of programme of work Working with Programme Team to understand the overall plan and key stakeholders Driving task delivery and facilitating meetings and dialogues in planning, scheduling and execution Working closely with technical resources to support their deliverables Identifying service owners/planning change schedules and resources requirement for the programme Creating change records and driving through approvals to ensure work can complete to plan Delivering change control documentations including pre/post documents, escalations/incidents Delivering measurement/reports on change volumes, cadences, KPI regarding delivery Escalating issues that cannot be resolved in a timely and concise manner Required Skills/Experience The ideal candidate will have the following: Expertise within project delivery/global rollout is preferable Co-ordination, planning, and delivery focused Experience in working with a large project, IT/business changes in an Agile environment Strong skills in stakeholder management and people engagement Good negotiation skills, with the gravitas and credibility to engage business colleagues at most levels Good understanding on IT concepts across platforms/technologies specifically on Storage Good skills in reporting and tracking Good grasp on the strategic direction of the HSBC and IT Ability to establish mutual expectations with business partners/stakeholders is required Strong skills in Jira, MS Excel and PowerPoint Desirable Skills/Experience Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client: Pro-active person who anticipates issues, conflicts, problems and puts into place effective strategies to manage these a self-motivated, delivery-focused individual If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply now with your updated CV in Microsoft Word/PDF format.
