For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering sign-on bonuses for Medical Assistants:
* $4,000 for 0-1 years of experience (full-time)
* $5,000 for 1+ years of experience (full-time)
* Bonus amount prorated for part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible.
* Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former employees are ineligible until more than 6 months after separation.
Position Details
This is a full-time position, 36 hours per week.
Your Role
MaineHealth Primary Care - Family Medicine - Waldoboro | We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team! Candidates should have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a proven record of reliability. The Medical Assistant will work directly with a provider to enhance patient care by rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, reconciling medical records, tracking preventive care, and returning patient calls. A positive attitude and team spirit are essential.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following: graduation from an accredited vocational or community college program in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience; completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program with 6 months of clinical experience; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice (evaluated case-by-case).
2. License/Certifications: Preferred or achieved within 1 year: current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification. Current BLS certification required within 3 months of hire. NH Med Tech License required for positions in New Hampshire.
3. Experience: Relevant Medical Assistant experience preferred.
4. Additional Skills/Requirements: Not applicable.
