Weare excited to develop this brand new service in the grounds of thestunning Chedington Estate in Dorset. Wewill have a range of fully accessible, luxury independent living accommodationwith state-of-the-art facilities, including gyms, hydro pools, Neurotechnology with accessto adaptive sporting opportunities across the estate. We will provide bespoke intensiverehabilitation packages to adults with a range of conditions,including brain injury, spinal cord injury, poly-trauma, amputation andother neurological conditions.At Chedington we are really lucky to have the opportunity to think beyond the normal remit for therapy and can be more imaginative with our approach. We are able to use activities such as paddleboarding on site and rock climbing to challenge our clients within functional and fun tasks and have the space and environment on site to engage our clients in bushcrafting, woodwork, gardening, cooking etc.

Main duties of the job
The role will include assessment and treatment for a caseload of neurological patients with both physical and cognitive impairments. The role will be within a very supportive MDT working towards a range of rehabilitation goals, participating in family meetings, MDTs and discharge planning.

Now operating from a number of locations, Hobbs Rehabilitation provides specialist inpatient and outpatient neurological rehabilitation for adults and children across the south of England, treating a wide variety of conditions, including stroke, acquired brain injury and spinal cord injuries. Job responsibilities
The successful candidate will work with clients in our inpatient setting predominantly but may have the opportunity to see outpatients as well as community patients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assessing patients with acquired physical and cognitive impairments using a range of formal and informal assessments.
* Practice safely within the legal and ethical boundaries of the profession.
* Formulate patient-centred goals in conjunction with MDT.
* Create and provide one-to-one intervention to patients with acquired physical and cognitive impairments, using a comprehensive knowledge of evidence-informed practice and treatment options.
* Evaluate patients progress using published outcome measures.
* Liaising regularly with the Hobbs MDT and wider care team.
* Organise and plan the MDT therapy caseload at Chedington Neuro rehab unit in conjunction with other clinical team members to meet the patients and service needs, readjusting plans as situations change or arise.
* Maintain up-to-date and accurate clinical notes using site-specific software and local procedures.
* Write high-quality patient reports, including MDT discharge reports for inpatients.
* Attend and contribute to patient and family meetings, both face-to-face and via video.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Recognised degree qualification in relevant neurological rehab clinical specialism (e.g. Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Neuropsychology)
* Evidence of further specialist post-graduate study within the field of neurological rehab
Experience
* - Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
* - Experience of working with patients with a range of neurological impairments
* - Experience of supervising and line-managing other staff - Experience of working in a leadership role - Experience of managing complex situations and dealing with conflict
* -Experience with working with spinal clients
* -Experience with working with amputee clients
Knowledge and Skills
* - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - verbal and written.
* - Excellent team working skills
* - Clinical skills within the field of neurological rehabilitation - Knowledge and understanding of specialist neurological assessment and treatment approaches relating to acquired neurological conditions including spinal injuries.
* - Commitment to developing self and others through training, supervision and mentoring.
* - Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the changing needs of the service.
