Inbound & Outbound Sales Rep — EV Charging
$80,000 – $100,000 per year (On-Target Earnings)

The role:
As Evnex’s Inbound & Outbound Sales Representative, you’ll join our high-energy Christchurch sales hub to convert inbound residential sales across New Zealand and Australia, while also driving outbound prospecting and outreach into our trade and commercial channels.
You’ll play a key role in expanding Evnex’s footprint — combining relationship-based selling with data-driven outreach to new partners. You’ll be selling an awesome Kiwi-manufactured product that’s solving a real problem — helping customers charge faster, safer, and from cleaner energy.
Key responsibilities and skills:
* Inbound Sales – Specialise in closing inbound leads for home charging across New Zealand and Australia, delivering an exceptional customer experience from first contact to conversion.
* Outbound Sales – Run targeted outbound campaigns and sprints into trade, fleet, and commercial channels to identify new opportunities and generate qualified leads. Research and prioritise prospects, build and maintain a healthy pipeline, and execute structured outreach through phone, email and CRM tools.
* Customer Engagement – Build strong rapport and trust with customers and partners through clear, friendly and prompt communication. Represent the Evnex brand with positivity and professionalism on every call.
* CRM Discipline – Demonstrate careful attention to CRM processes — logging interactions, tracking pipeline stages, and following up consistently to ensure no opportunity is missed.
* Collaboration – Work closely with the marketing team to optimise lead quality and campaign follow-up. Share insights and feedback from both inbound and outbound activity to inform sales strategy and product improvements.
* Forecasting & Reporting – Support with quarterly forecasting in your channels and provide visibility on pipeline health and key performance metrics.
* Continuous Learning – Develop a comprehensive understanding of our products, market differentiation and customer segments. Contribute positively to the team culture by embracing Evnex’s core values — authenticity, fun, excellent customer service and an aptitude for growth.
What we're looking for:
The ideal candidate has experience in a sales role where they’ve consistently met or exceeded targets through a mix of inbound conversion and proactive outreach. You should be confident on the phone, quick to learn technical concepts, and passionate about helping customers solve real problems.
As Evnex’s sales culture is highly relationship-based, you’ll be a natural connector who enjoys building trust, creating opportunities and celebrating wins.
You may be a good fit if you can demonstrate the following:
* Proven experience in inbound and outbound sales, including lead qualification, prospecting and closing.
* Track record of owning and exceeding sales targets.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills — both verbal and written.
* High energy, persistence and drive to follow up with customers and close deals.
* Ability to quickly interpret and communicate technical information.
* Proficient in CRM and sales engagement software (HubSpot experience a plus).
* Excellent problem-solving ability and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
* Strong organisational skills and pipeline management discipline.
* Genuine interest in clean tech and renewable energy.
* Enjoys teamwork, thrives on results and brings a positive, resilient mindset.
