About The Role
HC-One is seeking a Maintenance Operative for a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role requires weekly coverage at our other home, The Denby, in Huddersfield.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping, with technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. IT skills are also preferred. A considerate and kind communication style is essential when interacting with residents and colleagues.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring the residents' living environment is well-maintained, conducting audits, and keeping records up to date. Tasks may involve replacing taps, fitting extractor fans, repairing timber on windows, or decorating, all carried out with kindness and professionalism.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate steps to take. Attendance at safeguarding training and the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns are required.
