Mechanical Fitters - Military Vehicle Systems

We’re assembling a team of skilled Mechanical Fitters to support high-priority defence programmes at a specialist facility in Coventry. These temporary roles (with strong potential for extension) offer the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical military vehicle integration—where precision, quality, and purpose are paramount.
We’re currently hiring 10 fitters to join the production team immediately.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be hands-on with the assembly and integration of mechanical and electrical systems on low-volume, high-specification defence vehicles.
* Assemble and fit mechanical and electrical sub-systems to exacting standards
* Interpret technical drawings and engineering instructions accurately
* Safely and effectively use specialist tools, equipment, and materials
* Inspect components and finished assemblies for quality and precision
* Work closely with Production, Engineering, and R&D teams to meet deadlines
* Contribute to lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement efforts
* Maintain a safety-first mindset and take pride in your craftsmanship
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for candidates with practical experience, attention to detail, and a strong team mindset.
* City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in Automotive, Mechanical, or Vehicle Systems
* Proven experience in mechanical fitting or low-volume vehicle assembly
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work from schematics
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, quality-driven production environment
* Strong team ethic and a proactive approach to deadlines and quality standards
