Estates Surveyor
Location: London (Hybrid)
Rate: £400 per day
Contract: 6 Months
Spencer Clarke Group are looking for an experienced Estates Surveyor to support a London public sector organisation with a busy portfolio and a varied pipeline of transactions. This is a fast-paced role covering valuations, property transactions, and development feasibility work, working closely with a Senior Surveyor and key internal stakeholders.
You will take ownership of multiple workstreams at once, providing clear advice, strong reporting, and commercially focused recommendations to help achieve best value.
Responsibilities include:
* Delivering RICS-compliant valuations (acquisitions, disposals, Right to Buy, leasehold extensions)
* Managing acquisition and disposal processes end-to-end, including stakeholder liaison and negotiation
* Producing briefing reports and decision reports to support internal governance
* Completing feasibility and viability work for development proposals (planning, financial, environmental considerations)
* Supporting planning applications and coordinating supporting information
* Managing external consultants where required, including procurement documentation
About you:
* Strong experience in valuations and property transactions within a complex portfolio
* Confident producing clear reports for senior stakeholders and decision-making
* Solid knowledge of relevant property legislation, procurement, and best practice
* Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
* Public sector / local authority experience highly desirable
* RICS qualification (MRICS/FRICS) preferred, requirement to be confirmed
