Job Details
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week with flexible, hybrid working after probation.
Holiday: 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days).

Key responsibilities of a Payroll Administrator
* Supporting the Payroll Team in providing an efficient and comprehensive payroll service to clients.
* Day‑to‑day administration of client payrolls, including RTI submissions and end‑of‑year reporting.
* Processing starters, leavers, SMP, SPP, SSP, etc.
* Uploading pension contributions.
* Assisting with reviewing and checking payrolls.
* Assisting the Payroll Manager with the set‑up of pension schemes and any new payrolls.
* Dealing with payroll queries.
* Meeting strict deadlines and processing all work with a high degree of accuracy.
About You
* Minimum of 2 years working within an accountancy practice or bureau.
* Relevant payroll qualification or qualified by experience.
* Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Awareness of confidentiality and need for discretion.
* Comprehensive understanding of pensions and automatic enrolment.
* Ability to manually calculate payroll results and explain calculations/breakdown to clients.
* Confident in talking to people to build client relationships.
* Thorough knowledge of payroll‑related legislation such as PAYE, NI, family leave, etc.
* Experience with IRIS Payroll Professional preferred.
