Humanities Teacher

About the Role:
GSL Education are currently seeking to appoint a Humanities Teacher to undertake a position at one of our client schools in hull. As a Humanities Teacher in a school in England, your role involves teaching subjects such as History, Geography, Religious Education (RE), Citizenship, and sometimes elements of Social Studies. Role of a Humanities Teacher:
* Collaborate with the Humanities department and school leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive and engaging curriculum that meets national curriculum standards and the needs of students.
* Plan and deliver dynamic and differentiated lessons in various Humanities subjects, incorporating a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technology to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
* Foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deeper understanding of historical events, geographical concepts, cultural phenomena, and ethical issues.
* Provide expertise in specific Humanities subjects, such as History or Geography, delivering high-quality instruction that fosters students' curiosity, knowledge, and skills in these disciplines.
* Develop and share subject-specific resources, assessments, and teaching strategies with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the Humanities curriculum.
* Design and administer formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and attainment in Humanities subjects, providing timely feedback and support to facilitate their academic growth.
* Use assessment data to inform instructional planning, identify areas for intervention or enrichment, and monitor individual student progress over time.
The successful candidate will:
* Have previous experience working as a teacher within an educational setting.
* Original or certified copies of your degree certificates and transcripts related to Humanities subjects, such as a Bachelor's degree in History, Geography, Religious Studies, or Education.
* Evidence of any additional qualifications, certifications, or postgraduate studies relevant to Humanities education, such as a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
* Evidence of completion of safeguarding training, such as a certificate or confirmation from a training provider. This demonstrates your understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
* Hold relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or a related field.
* Are passionate about supporting the learning and development of student and making a positive difference in their lives.
