Job Details
1. Interim FP&A / Financial Modelling Consultant
2. Financial Services | Bath (Hybrid)
3. Start ASAP (this month) | 3-6 months initially | Likely extension / open‑ended
A newly created interim FP&A role within a financial services company, brought in to embed and stabilise a new forecasting model. There's currently no in‑house FP&A resource, so you'll take ownership and get the model running smoothly, with proper governance and repeatable processes.
What you'll do
4. Own, review and improve an existing forecasting / planning model
5. Fix "teething issues" and make it robust, usable and scalable
6. Set up model governance: controls, checks, version control, audit trail
7. Create simple guidance notes / SOPs, so others can update it correctly.
8. Run regular forecast updates + scenario analysis and support stakeholders with outputs.
What we need
9. Strong FP&A + modelling background (advanced Excel essential)
10. Comfortable working independently in a newly created role
11. Experience introducing controls, documentation and best practice around models
12. Financial services experience is useful, not essential.
Contract
13. Hybrid, flexible (Bath based)
14. Initial 3-6 months, but length is workload‑driven / likely to extend
