The role in brief:
A brand new role for PM+M has arisen to join our Corporate Finance team as an Origination Executive in a newly created and exciting opportunity for the firm.
Who we are looking for:
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to join a UK Top 100 Accountancy Practice, to be instrumental in the development the client base for the Corporate Finance team, aiding them in further growth outside of the wider PM+M client base and any organic growth.
This will be someone who is driven and committed in obtaining additional client work for a firm or company, bringing in a variety of work and fee base.
This role could be supported on a full time or 4 day a week basis.
The role can also be across both our Blackburn and Bury sites, as well as hybrid working.
What the role involves:
Working closely with and reporting to the Corporate Finance Director, you will:
* Build and execute a coherent plan to source and secure new M&A leads and mandates in the local and national market for the PM+M Corporate Finance team.
* Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop successful and effective targeted marketing programmes and campaigns.
* Coordinate and schedule relevant CF team members on any next steps or opportunities that might benefit the department, such as meetings and networking events
* Attend client meetings at various stages, if and where required.
* Utilise the skills, knowledge and guidance of the CF team and Director to target efforts, identify leads, and report back.
* Build a strong relationship with portfolio holders around the wider firm to spot and follow up on CF opportunities and intelligence.
* Continue to develop a strong external network, both locally and nationally.
* Support other departments on any additional leads, opportunities or intelligence obtained.
* Have the opportunity to support, develop and train on any CF delivery work and transactions should you wish.
Your development
We provide a complementary range of learning opportunities to ensure that you maximise your potential in areas such as becoming a trusted adviser, how to network, presentation skills etc with opportunities for progression around the firm. These will comprise personal effectiveness as well as your technical skills.
We have 6 monthly performance review conversations to ensure your development is on track, as well as optional monthly 1-2-1s. You will also have the opportunity to work with a mentor.
We also encourage you to get involved in wider firm initiatives and have your say on how we can progress on our journey towards being the best North-West firm of finance professionals.
There will also be the opportunity to work towards a recognised CF qualification, such as the ICAEW CFQ, or other relevant qualifications, should you wish.

Our ideal candidate will:
* Have prior experience in a similar role sourcing new business or a client base
* Will have a strong network within local and national businesses, that will continue to develop.
* Have some prior knowledge of the Corporate Finance industry or a similar industry, or be willing and able to understand, learn and adapt.
