Your Mission
To maintain all onsite injection moulding, vacuum forming, and punch tools in accordance with the preventative maintenance system, and to make independent decisions when resolving tooling issues to support daily manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain high standards within the Tooling Department, ensuring all equipment, tooling, workshop areas, and machinery audits/checks meet required levels.
* Respond to tooling breakdowns promptly and carry out effective repairs to minimise production downtime.
* Complete all TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) tasks to a high standard and within the scheduled timeframes.
* Ensure all tooling, plant, and associated equipment are kept clean, tidy, and in a safe, serviceable condition.
* Complete all required company documentation accurately and on time.
* Follow the spares tracking process and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the department.
* Provide support to other engineering disciplines when required.
* Perform fault finding on injection mould tools.
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience as a Tooling Technician, Toolmaker, or within a toolroom environment in manufacturing or engineering.
* Strong diagnostic and problem solving ability, particularly in identifying and resolving tooling faults safely and efficiently.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, tooling schematics, maintenance manuals, and precision tolerances.
* Skilled in preventative maintenance practices, with a proactive approach to tooling reliability and continuous improvement.
* Strong commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and quality within the toolroom and production environment.
* Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams.
* Flexibility to support shift patterns, planned maintenance, and breakdown response when required.
* Relevant technical qualifications in Toolmaking, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline (apprenticeship or equivalent advantageous).
