Principal Waste Water Process Engineer

As a Principal Waste Water Process Engineer you will play a vital role in process engineering on transformational programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.
Your role
* Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, to high‑quality levels.
* Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
* Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
* Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
* Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
About You
* Chartered Chemical / Process Engineer (preferably IChemE or CIWEM).
* Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
* Fundamental understanding and experience of integrated waste‑water and bioresources treatment process.
* Design and/or operational experience of main process unit operations: primary / secondary / tertiary treatment, bioresource treatment and disposal, odour and energy management.
* Experience of process safety techniques (HAZOP / DSEAR), capital and operational costs assessments, whole‑life carbon assessments as well as knowledge of UK environmental regulations.
* Awareness of process modelling techniques and software, e.g. BioWIn, SUMO.
