Senior E-Commerce Front-End Software Engineer Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire Hybrid, 2 days a week in the office Salary: Up to £65,000 basic £6,000 car bonus benefits We are looking for a Senior E-Commerce Front-End Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimise high-performance B2C websites and shopping apps that enhance customer experience and business growth. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and responsive web pages using HTML5, CSS, jQuery, and Microsoft ASP. Build and optimise cross-platform shopping apps using Apache Cordova and Ionic. Enhance front-end performance, ensuring fast load times, smooth interactions, and accessibility compliance. Work closely with UX designers, back-end developers, and digital teams to integrate front-end solutions with marketing data layers for advanced analytics and A/B testing. Collaborate with DevOps engineers to integrate CI/CD pipelines and monitor front-end performance using New Relic. Stay up to date with emerging front-end technologies and E-Commerce trends. What We’re Looking For: Extensive experience in software development, including in a front-end role. Proven experience in developing and maintaining high-traffic E-Commerce websites. Expertise in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, jQuery, and integration with Microsoft ASP/.NET. Experience in performance optimisation (lazy loading, code splitting, caching) and familiarity with web performance metrics (FCP, LCP, CLS). Strong understanding of front-end security best practices (CSRF, XSS, CORS). Familiarity with Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and mobile frameworks (Apache Cordova, Ionic). Desirable: Experience with SEO, digital advertising (Google Marketing Platform), and social media marketing Knowledge of digital merchandising Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Selenium).
