We are a global team focused on disciplined capital allocation and long-term value creation for all stakeholders, who care deeply about our impact on communities and the wider world.Role PurposeAs a Casualty Underwriter, you will support the Head of Casualty – International in producing, underwriting, and servicing International Casualty accounts, contributing to the growth of the portfolio in line with Everest’s appetite, controls, and underwriting strategy.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their underwriting career within a supportive and high‑performing team, gaining exposure across a diverse account and building strong market relationships.Core ResponsibilitiesSupport the underwriting and servicing of International Casualty accounts, across new business and renewalsDevelop a strong understanding of Everest’s underwriting strategy and appetite, applying this to all underwriting decisionsManage a portfolio of renewal business, including pricing, referrals, and client/broker engagementAssist in delivering the team’s marketing strategy, maintaining and developing broker relationshipsWork closely with senior underwriters to enhance technical capability and product knowledgeSupport data entry, reporting, and maintenance of portfolio MIMonitor portfolio KPIs for owned accounts and support wider team performance analysisLiaise with claims, actuarial, and underwriting colleagues to support effective decision‑makingEnsure compliance with Lloyd’s and Everest underwriting standards and controlsContinuously build underwriting expertise through training and development opportunitiesSkills & ExperienceExperience in an underwriting role with exposure to International Casualty businessStrong technical foundation and willingness to develop underwriting expertiseGood analytical and problem‑solving skillsAbility to manage workload and prioritise effectivelyDeveloping broker and stakeholder relationship skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to underwriting disciplineDesire to learn, grow, and build a long‑term career in underwritingWhat if I don’t meet every requirement?
