We are seeking to appoint a passionate, creative and dedicated English Teacher to join our specialist educational provision in Christchurch.

The Role
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, adapting learning to meet the diverse needs of pupils. You will play a key role in supporting students to develop literacy skills, self-confidence and positive learning behaviours.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated English lessons
* Supporting pupils to achieve academic and personal progress
* Assessing, monitoring and reporting on pupil attainment and development
* Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
* Supporting pupils with additional educational, social and emotional needs
* Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and senior leaders
* Maintaining positive relationships with parents, carers and external agencies
* Contributing to curriculum development and wider school initiatives
* Promoting safeguarding, wellbeing and positive behaviour throughout the school
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Has experience teaching English across secondary age ranges
* Has experience teaching young people with SEMH and associated challenges
* Is passionate about inclusive and relational practice
* Has strong classroom management and communication skills
* Can inspire and motivate pupils with a range of learning needs
* Is resilient, adaptable and committed to making a positive difference
* Works effectively as part of a team and contributes to the wider school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
