Salary: A GBP 25,584 - A GBP 27,711 per annum
The High School is a member of the Education Trust. The Trust is an expanding multi-academy trust with 11 primary and 9 secondary schools.
The Role
We are seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic individual with high standards, capable of effective communication and interaction with others as part of our school team in the role of Site Manager / Caretaker.

Key Responsibilities
Care and Maintenance
* Carry out routine care and maintenance tasks as scheduled, e.g., fire alarm testing, water hygiene testing;
* Undertake cleaning duties not covered by cleaners, such as emergency clean-ups or heavy-duty cleaning (sweeping outside areas, sealing and polishing floors, cleaning carpets);
* Ensure the continuous provision of heating, lighting, and ventilation;
* Perform urgent minor repairs or coordinate contractors for repairs;
* Oversee contractors' work, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and security standards;
* Follow health and safety protocols in all tasks;
* Maintain all equipment and property in good condition;
* Manage opening and closing procedures, ensuring security;
* Supervise cleaning staff to meet standards;
* Provide out-of-hours on-call support as agreed;
* Manage stock levels for maintenance and cleaning supplies, ordering as needed.
Health and Safety
* Conduct regular risk assessments and implement necessary actions;
* Maintain accurate health and safety records;
* Respond promptly to safety concerns raised by staff;
* Stay updated with relevant policies and ensure compliance;
* Adhere to COSHH and manual handling regulations;
* Regularly check fire safety measures;
* Receive appropriate training before performing relevant tasks.
Support for Staff and Students
* Assist with moving furniture and equipment to meet school needs;
* Support teachers and staff with setting up or dismantling equipment and transporting materials;
* Support school functions and events, including equipment logistics;
* Deliver parcels between sites/departments;
* Manage equipment and material stocks as assigned;
* Collaborate with staff within the school and across other Trust locations, providing support as needed.
