We are seeking a Warehouse Logistics Supervisor with a solid background in inventory and stores management to support the Gwynt y Môr wind farm. This role is evolving to meet the business’s growing need for in-house capability and systemisation. The qualified candidate will guide the transition to SAP-based inventory management, monitor tooling and equipment tracking, and enforce robust processes for inspections, maintenance, and compliance. A key part of this role will be to overhaul and organise the stores and laydown areas, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and fit for future operational needs.
About the role:
1. Inventory & Stores Management Manage spare parts, tooling, PPE, and contractor-held inventory while coordinating the SAP transition, including data migration and development of standardised proceduresMaintain accurate records, inspections, calibrations, and annual/monthly physical counts, resolving discrepancies and ensuring compliant trackingOversee goods receipt, refurbishment workflows, and scrapping processes, ensuring system accuracy and safe material handling
2. Site Operations Coordinate daily movements of tools and equipment between stores and vessels, including operation and upkeep of forklifts and site vehiclesCoordinate loading/unloading activities, returning materials to storage, and validating consumption for accurate SAP bookingSupervise contractors and carry out inspections of racking, storage areas, and equipment to maintain safe and efficient operations
3. Compliance & Safety Ensure statutory inspections (lifting equipment, racking, PPE) are completed, recorded, and compliant with LOLER, PUWER, and COSHH requirementsMaintain high HS&E standards across warehouse and logistics areas, including management of waste streams and hazardous substancesSupport toolbox talks and planning meetings to embed safety and compliance into daily operations
4. Process Development & FutureProofing Create and maintain documentation for all stores and logistics processes to support consistent, repeatable operationsPromote the shift toward internal capability for logistics functions, identifying improvement opportunities and enhancing SAP workflowsChampion continuous improvement through efficiency initiatives, optimised workflows, and improved reporting
Role requirements and experience:
5. NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Warehousing/Logistics and valid counterbalance forklift licence
6. Practical warehouse/stores experience including SAP or similar systems, inventory counts, inspections, and calibration tracking
7. Knowledge of statutory inspection regimes, goods receipt processes, refurbishment workflows, and scrapping procedures
8. Practical experience managing material movements for operational delivery (e.g., vessel support)
9. Proficient organisational skills with the ability to document processes, maintain digital records, and operate SAP/Microsoft Office tools
10. Solid understanding of HS&E requirements, inventory control principles, and cycle counting
11. Ability to coordinate daily operations including equipment movements and loading/unloading tasks
12. Motivated, detail-focused, and capable of executing tasks alone or alongside a team
13. Skilled communicator with good interpersonal skills
14. Full UK driving licence and willingness to undertake further training
Advantageous, but not essential:
15. IOSH Working Safely or SAP formal training/certification
16. Background in offshore wind, marine, or industrial logistics, with experience supervising contractors
17. Involvement in warehouse redesign, process improvement projects, refurbishment, or scrapping workflows
18. Knowledge of LifeSaving Appliances (LSA), waste stream compliance, and operation of electric site vehicles/fuel systems
