Job Title: Lead Clinician

Location: Papworth Hall School – Cambridgeshire CB23 3RD

Salary: up to £60,000 DOE

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Mon - Fri

Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Clinician to join our team who will contribute to bespoke assessment and intervention plans for the pupils we support. This is a wide and varied role ideal for those looking for a new challenge where you can truly have an impact on shaping services and driving change.

About The Role

The post is located within Papworth Hall School based in Cambridgeshire. You will be joining a clinical team to facilitate MDT working, consisting of Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy. The clinical team is embedded into the structure of the provision which enables positive and effective multi-disciplinary working across the education services, in order to maximise clinical outcomes for our pupils.

You will be working within the overall framework of the service policies and procedures and within existing MDT and Clinical Governance structures to support the services in future development and ensuring quality assurance.

Our clinical teams help to develop empowering environments where our pupils can flourish, always putting them at the forefront of everything they do. All our settings maintain a strong safeguarding culture, and the pupils we support are heard, respected and involved in decisions that affect them wherever possible.

Essential Criteria:


* Recognised degree in either, Occupational Therapy or Psychotherapy
* Valid and up to date professional Registration & membership of professional body e.g. HCPC, RCOT, BABCP, NCPC
* Previous experience working with children and/or adults with intellectual disabilities
* Experience in leadership and management
* Ability to work collaboratively with a range of key partners
* Able to work sensitively with people and resolve conflict effectively
* Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting
* Substantial and relevant post-qualification experience with children and/or adults.
* Skills in the management of data are also important as the role includes collecting and analysing data to inform various pieces of service delivery, development and project work.
