Knowledge of different business sectors (e.g., private and public), stakeholders, competitors, and familiarity with disease treatment and management are required. Embrace a high sense of accountability to ensure total portfolio growth and delivery are optimized by both BU & Marketing, as outlined in the annual brand and operational planning process. Knowledge of people management skills based on the latest management principles is key to building a high-performing team, alongside a thorough understanding of GSK/Pharma code of conduct and corporate governance.
• Ability to manage crises and other business risks. Drive strategic alignment or realignment of the Commercial team to optimize product reach/mix and resource utilization. Strategic planning and resource allocation for current and future brand investments. Deep understanding and analysis of market information, dynamics, issues, and opportunities to develop proposals for new product launches, sourcing or launching new molecules, divesting mature or off-patent portfolios when necessary, and developing relevant execution plans.
• Analytical, opportunistic, capable of handling stressful situations, willing to take risks, strategic decision-making, resilient, and positive thinking.
• Strong industry or specialist knowledge.
• Knowledge of the domestic and international healthcare industry, competitors, healthcare environment, and trends within the functional discipline is required.
