2026 Graduate Programme – Transport & Infrastructure – PMCM (Project Management and Construction Management)
WSP offers graduates a 2‑year Graduate Development Programme across our PMCM teams. The programme focuses on Project Management and Quantity Surveying roles within Civil, Rail, Buildings and Programme Solutions sectors. Graduates will work on landmark projects across the UK and internationally, gaining exposure to feasibility, design, procurement and construction stages.

Roles & Day‑to‑Day Activities
Graduate Project Manager – Civil, Rail, Buildings, Programme Solutions
* Support project planning, scheduling and progress monitoring.
* Assist in risk identification, mitigation and reporting.
* Prepare project documentation, reports and presentations.
* Participate in client meetings and facilitate communication between internal teams, clients and external stakeholders.
* Manage financial monitoring, budget tracking and variance analysis.
* Support contract administration and interpret contract terms.
* Promote quality, health, safety and sustainability throughout project life‑cycle.
Graduate Quantity Surveyor – Civil, Rail, Buildings
* Prepare initial cost estimates and budgets.
* Support feasibility studies, value‑engineering and procurement strategy.
* Assist in drafting tender documents and evaluating contractor bids.
* Monitor contract variations, payment applications and interim valuations.
* Measure quantities on‑site or from drawings.
* Produce cost reports and financial dashboards.
* Track costs, forecast final accounts and identify cost‑efficiency opportunities.
Graduate Development Programme
The two‑year programme blends structured learning, training workshops, mentoring and on‑the‑job experience. It supports personal and professional growth, with pathways to chartered status through ICE, APM or RICS.
Qualifications & Expectations
Applicants should:
* Hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree with a minimum 2:1 in a relevant subject.
* Complete the application form and online skill enabler assessment.
* Be ready to start in either April or September 2026.
* Demonstrate a passion for project management or surveying, and a keen interest in the built environment.
* Show strong communication skills with clients, stakeholders and colleagues.
* Be proactive, creative and able to solve problems.
* Be willing to travel to project sites and work across multidisciplinary teams.
