AR567 – Aircraft Engineer (MOC)Location: LutonSalary: £68,468 - £75,357 + Shift allowanceOverview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Aircraft Engineer (MOC) on behalf of one of our clients.As Maintenance Operations Controller you will maintain Oversight of all operational maintenance activities, ensuring Continued Airworthiness and Safety Management, utilising technical expertise and industry experience. You will be able to demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge with the A320 series A/C; coordinating aircraft rescues and defect rectification to ensure prompt return to service to maximize aircraft availability. You will be competent in the use of Aircraft Maintenance Documentation in addition to computer-based reporting and recording systems.This full-time role will be based in Luton working 12-hour shifts Days and Nights. Shift pattern will 5’s & 4’s on a 28-day rotating roster.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain an accurate and objective daily log of maintenance events and ensure continuity of information across shiftsLiaise closely with Network Control to ensure aircraft meet scheduled departure slotsEnsure the maintenance plan is carried out as required by all contracted maintenance providersEnsure appropriate legislative and company procedures are adhered to; to remain compliantIdentify and recommend operational performance improvementsLiaise with all other internal departments as well as the OEM’s, to provide continuous fleet and operational performance improvementsTo provide, as requested, on-site support at the line stations during AOG recoveryAssist our networks of engineering support to interpret OEM and company documentation to aid troubleshooting or defect rectificationTo develop and enhance processes and procedures to effectively contribute to improved aircraft availabilityEnsure thorough written and verbal handovers of current events are delivered to the oncoming shiftSkills and Qualifications:Hold UK/EASA Part 66 B1 or B2 license with ability to gain company Type authorisationsHave a minimum of 5 years operational experience in a line/Base maintenance environment and ideally with a recent Maintenance Control background Extensive Airbus A320 A/C family experience essentialProven experience in a supervisory role within aviation engineeringGood knowledge of both Part 145 regulations and Airline Part CAMO requirements, with knowledge of CAA, EASA and FOCA legislationGood understanding of maintenance schedulesBe able to gain and hold a Luton airside passAbility to communicate to a wide community of both internal and external suppliers and customersKnowledge of AMOS IT system would be beneficialHigh standard of Leadership/organisational skills and time managementKnowledge of when to escalate and subsequently communicate developing issues to managementHigh degree of customer focus – both internal and externalAble to work effectively in a team, as well as independently, across all levels of the organisationWillingness to be flexible in order to meet deadlines and overcome Operational problems and embrace change and drive improvements within the businessLocation: LutonSalary: £68,468 - £75,357 + Shift allowance
