You will be joining a passionate English department, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the potential to support A-level groups. Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering dynamic, stimulating lessons that inspire students.
* Tracking progress, offering high-quality feedback, and setting clear targets.
* Contributing to department initiatives-like enrichment programmes, school events, and literary competitions.
* Collaborating with colleagues to develop engaging schemes of work and share best practices.
* Supporting students' wider development through participation in school life, including trips, assemblies, and parent events.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a passionate advocate for English literature and language.
* Proven expertise teaching across secondary age ranges, ideally including GCSE.
* Strong classroom presence with excellent behaviour management and clear communication skills.
* A collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for contributing to a busy school community.
* The ability to adapt teaching to meet varied needs, including SEN and EAL support.
* Situated in picturesque Twickenham, with easy transport links (District Line and South West Trains).
