About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to join our growing engineering and project delivery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for winning projects and supporting the delivery of high-quality fabrication services.
This is a permanent full-time position
Key Responsibilities
 * Review structural and civil engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, tender documents to prepare detailed cost estimates, ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations and codes of practice.
 * Liaise with clients, engineers, and project managers to clarify project scope and requirements, formulate estimates and resolve issues that may arise.
 * Conduct material take-offs and pricing of structural steel components, labour, and associated costs.
 * Prepare estimates to be utilized for selecting vendors, contractors and sub-contractors.
 * Consult with all stakeholders regarding contract changes, adjustments and cost estimates.
 * Liaise with architects, builders, and clients to coordinate project designs and timelines.
 * Provide technical support to fabrication and construction teams.
 * Contribute to project management, cost estimation, and quality assurance processes.
 * Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with Australian Standards and project requirements.
 * Establish professional working relationships with the General Manager, Directors and Business Development Managers.
Skills and Experience Required
 * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
 * Minimum 2 years of Australian experience in civil or structural engineering.
 * Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, erection methods and industry standards.
 * Proficient in reading and interpreting structural drawings and specifications.
 * Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
 * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
 * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
 * Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
 * Demonstrated experience in working to deadlines and under pressure.
