Job Description
We are looking for an Enterprise Cybersecurity Analytics Engineer to join our Cybersecurity Sciences & Analytics (CSA) Advanced Projects team. CSA is a highly specialised global function bringing together experts in cybersecurity, data science, AI, cloud engineering, and software development.
This is a senior, hands-on technical role focused on delivering advanced analytics and data-driven solutions that strengthen enterprise cybersecurity capabilities. You will work at the intersection of cybersecurity, data engineering, and advanced analytics, solving complex security challenges through rapid prototyping, production-grade engineering, and innovative R&D initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Design, build, and deploy advanced analytics, data products, and AI-driven solutions to improve cybersecurity monitoring, detection, and response.
2. Support cybersecurity teams in using data and analytics more effectively to inform decisions and enhance operational outcomes.
3. Develop custom security applications, APIs, and data-driven services aligned to cybersecurity objectives.
4. Engineer scalable, cloud-based data platforms and pipelines, from prototype through to production.
5. Enable automated detection and triage of malicious activity, optimise manual security processes, and strengthen control monitoring.
6. Act as a cybersecurity data domain expert, advising stakeholders on how analytics can drive measurable business and risk reduction outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
7. Strong Experience in data engineering and advanced analytics within a cybersecurity environment.
8. Proven ability to build, operate, and support cloud-based data infrastructure at scale.
9. Experience with data pipeline automation, productionisation, and optimisation.
10. Hands-on knowledge of big data technologies ( Databricks, Spark).
11. Experience delivering real-time analytics on large-scale datasets.
12. Proficiency in Python and modern data engineering frameworks.
13. Understanding of cloud cost optimisation and data asset curation.
