Purpose

To provide Careers Information, Advice and Guidance to young people in secondary schools, Colleges, Pupil Referral Units and Community Settings.

Level 6 qualified Careers Adviser with experience of working in school settings required. This is a term time only position over 38 weeks working across 2 schools, 3 days per week. One school is an 11- 19 secondary school with 6th form the other is an 11 - 16 special school, both located in the Wakefield district. Potential to work additional hours in the future.

May consider a Level 4 qualified Adviser with previous experience working in schools. Would need to be willing to undertake an appropriate Level 6 qualification in Careers Guidance as a condition of employment.

Experience of working with young people with an Education Health & Care Plan is welcomed but not essential as support can be provided.
