About St Elizabeths Centre Set in 60 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, St Elizabeths is a national charity with over 120 years of experience supporting children, young people, and adults with complex needs, including epilepsy and associated conditions. Our vibrant campus includes a non-maintained specialist School, Further Education College, residential care services, supported living, and on-site therapies and healthcare. Our Specialist School and Sixth Form supports pupils aged 519 with moderate to profound and multiple learning difficulties, often accompanied by complex neurological conditions. About the Role We are looking for dedicated and passionate SEN Teachers to join our growing team and lead a class of up to 8 pupils. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver creative, pupil-centred teaching in a truly nurturing, inclusive environment. Whether youre currently in special education or looking to transition from mainstream, well support you every step of the way. What youll do: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned to one of our three curriculum pathways Foster a positive and inclusive classroom that promotes learning, confidence and independence Work in close partnership with our 1:1 Learning Support Assistants and on-site therapy teams Monitor progress toward both academic and EHCP outcomes Create a joyful, aspirational learning space where each child is supported to thrive About You Youre an enthusiastic educator who believes that every child deserves the chance to achieve and feel proud of their progress. Youre creative, caring, and confident in building strong relationships. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK Experience teaching students with special educational needs (SEN) Ability to adapt your approach to support diverse and complex learning profiles Excellent communication and teamwork skills A reflective, positive mindset with a commitment to continuous development If youre currently teaching in a mainstream setting and are curious about moving into SEN, well provide full training, peer mentoring, and a welcoming induction.
