Your Role
As a Health & Safety Officer, you\'ll be instrumental in ensuring health and safety policies not only comply with legal requirements but also foster a culture of well-being across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing expert advice and support to managers, supervisors, and staff on all health & safety matters.
* Carrying out risk assessments, workplace inspections, and incident investigations, ensuring timely corrective actions.
* Leading internal audits and supporting external compliance audits.
* Developing and implementing health & safety policies in line with current legislation.
* Delivering internal training sessions and coordinating external training providers.
* Preparing reports and maintaining accurate H&S records and documentation.
What We\'re Looking For
We\'re looking for a confident, detail-oriented professional with a proactive approach and a passion for maintaining high safety standards.
Essential:
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
* Relevant training qualification.
* 3-5 years of experience in a similar role or strong demonstrable knowledge of H&S practices.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Full driving licence and access to transport.
* Able to work independently and collaboratively.
* Flexibility to adjust working hours based on business needs.
Desirable:
* Degree in a related field.
* Experience in the food manufacturing or processing industry.
