Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering high quality food in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, demonstrating excellent leadership and team management skills. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, while fostering a positive and productive kitchen environment.
Duties
* Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
* Develop and design innovative menus that reflect great pub food.
* Manage food production processes, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimising waste.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
* Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
* Maintain a positive atmosphere in the kitchen, encouraging creativity and professional growth among team members.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques.
* Demonstrated experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing teams effectively.
* In-depth understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
* Previous experience in a busy, fast paced pub settings is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
* A passion for cooking and creating delicious pub food.
