An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the award‑winning Fire Safety team in the Health and Safety Directorate at University Hospitals of Liverpool Group.
The Fire Safety Advisor is a post for a highly confident, highly motivated and conscientious person to support the Trust in its compliance with HTM Firecode and all statutory legislation and guidance.
The role is part of a team of fire safety advisors who support the University Hospitals of Liverpool Group in meeting the statutory and regulatory duties set out in the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) 05 suite (HTM‑05‑01, HTM‑05‑02 and HTM‑05‑03). The post holder will interpret highly complex legislation, statutory regulation, approved codes of practice and guidance to advise and direct fire safety across the organisation and establish an effective fire safety management system that will provide assurance throughout the Trust.
Responsibilities
* Undertake Fire Risk Assessments and develop associated action plans.
* Arrange annual fire drills.
* Deliver the Trust fire safety training programme.
* Coordinate fire safety assurance inspections.
* Investigate un‑wanted fire alarm signals or fires.
* Prepare fire safety reports and provide information to relevant Trust meetings.
* Produce and communicate fire safety reports and other communications.
* Provide technical fire safety advice.
* Support the review and implementation of fire safety policy and associated firefighting and firefighting management documentation (e.g., safe operating policies, procedures and guidance).
