This is an exciting opportunity for a driven legal professional to manage their own caseload, deliver outstanding client service, and achieve strong legal outcomes on behalf of tenants.
Key Responsibilities; Manage a full caseload of Housing Disrepair matters from instruction to completion.
Conduct legal research and provide clear, accurate advice to clients.
Draft pleadings, witness statements, correspondence, and other key documents.
Negotiate settlements and represent clients in hearings where required.
Handle litigation from pre-action through to trial, including liaising with defendants, experts, and opposing solicitors.
Assess liability and quantum, obtain expert evidence, and prepare schedules of loss.
Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement meetings as needed.
Use case management systems and digital workflows efficiently (Proclaim experience advantageous).
Support and supervise a small sub-team where required.
Stay up to date on relevant case law, legislation, and procedural developments.
Person Specification; Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Fee Earner with 2 years experience Strong background in housing disrepair or civil litigation.
Excellent knowledge of pre-action protocols, CPR, and evidential requirements.
Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload with accuracy and attention to detail.
Demonstrated experience running litigated files from start to finish.
