ROLE- Mechanical Design Engineer


TERM- Permanent


LOCATION – Huddersfield


SALARY- £40,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience)


My client designs and manufactures equipment for Water industry. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Huddersfield on a permanent basis.


The Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

1. Previous experience in a similar Design Engineering / Mechanical Engineering position#
2. Experience within the Water and Wate-water industry needed
3. Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
4. Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
5. Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics would be beneficial
6. A background in Water related industries would also be ideal – Specifically waste water!
7. 5+ years' experience with sheet metal design and manufacture
8. Be proficient using 3D CAD software, they use SolidWorks and AutoCAD
9. Knowledge of a variety of materials and manufacturing processes
10. Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances
