Narrative Entertainment is the UK’s largest independent TV broadcaster, with a portfolio spanning movies, entertainment, and kids’ programming. We operate across linear broadcast channels (GREAT! network), AVOD apps, and a range of FAST (Free Ad-Supported TV) channels on major platforms.

This role is essential in enabling the business to forecast and track its Digital and Commercial revenue streams, as well as its Digital cost base, and to help quantify opportunities to grow profit.

You will partner with a range of teams and key stakeholders across the business; therefore, strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and the confidence to challenge are essential. As the business continues to evolve, this is a genuine opportunity for someone with a proactive and positive approach to make an impact and drive process improvements.

The business is focused on strengthening its financial reporting across the Digital function to improve visibility of revenue and cost performance. This role will suit someone who can proactively assess existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement more efficient and scalable ways of working aligned to evolving business needs.

* Assist the Financial Controller in building the Annual Budget and periodic reforecasts
* Work with the Digital and Commercial team, and the Kids channels Director to set budgets, and track and manage actual performance
* Track and analyse revenue streams
* Ensure accurate revenue and cost reporting – both by line of business and genre, including review of G/L activity and monthly management accounts
* Own the revenue share reporting process to digital platforms and Kids content partners
* Work with outsource team to ensure revenue billing complete and accurate
* Work with the Financial Controller to improve processes and controls
* Assist in building analysis to support business decisions, including new business initiatives
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload and effectively multi-task
* Proactive and positive approach to identifying means to improve, streamline and refine processes
* A collaborative mindset, with the confidence to partner with stakeholders, provide insight, and constructively challenge where needed
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and accessible way
* Comfortable working with a wide range of internal stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic and evolving environment
* The ability to remain effective under pressure and manage competing priorities
* Experience in analysing revenues and costs by line of business, including building budget models and actual P&L breakdowns
* Possess or working towards an accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
* A genuine interest in the TV & broadcasting industry
* Experience in a business generating advertising revenue (desirable)
