Electrical Engineer

The Role:
As an Electrician/Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in a two-person team alongside a Mechanical Fitter. Your responsibilities will include:
* Executing preventative maintenance tasks and providing rapid response to plant breakdowns and repairs.
* Undertaking installation tasks on machinery within the factory, including maintenance of bay lighting and other electrical services.
* Ensuring all tasks are completed safely, professionally, and in compliance with company protocols.
* Maintaining clear communication with supervisors and completing necessary shift reports and documentation.
General Scope of Work:
* Installation work on both factory and process machinery.
* Fault find on 415v, 240v, 110v and 24vac and dc systems.
* Follow CCT diagrams to aid fault finding.
* PLC, establish necessary input/output (no program facility)
* Fault find on OHC’s, Remote handsets, contactor function, fuses.
* DC drives/inverters basic knowledge would be an advantage.
* Maintain high bay lighting replacement, repair, and LED upgrade.
* Test emergency lighting and evacuation alarm system.
* Involved in CCT design and control panel building.
Experience/Qualifications:
* Preferred completion of an Apprenticeship or time-served in a relevant field.
* Desirable qualifications include 18th Edition IEE Regs, NVQ level 3, or City and Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance.
* Experience in heavy industrial environments, particularly with Slitting/Decoiling machines, is advantageous.
* A valid driving license is preferred.
Pay Rates:
* Midweek Basic Rate - £15.93ph
* Overtime during the week @ Rate 2 (£19.11ph)
* Saturday overtime @ Rate 4 (£23.89ph)
* Sunday and Bank holidays @ Rate 3 (£31.86ph)
Shift Pattern
Week1:
6am-2pm Mon-Fri @ Rate 1
Week 2:
8pm-6am Mon-Thurs @ Rate 2 + £1 /p/h antisocial allowance.
Week 3:
1pm-9pm Mon-Thurs, and 10am-6pm Fri @ Rate 1
