Compliance Manager/ Works Supervisor
Various Sites – UK Wide I Permanent
£180- £200 per day (£46,800- £52,000 per annum)
Bridgestone Recruitment are pleased to be working with a leading organisation in the utilities sector who are seeking a Compliance Manager / Works Supervisor to ensure all site activities comply with health & safety legislation, company policies, and client requirements. This is a hands-on role combining compliance management with on-site supervision.
Key Duties
Compliance & Safety
* Ensure compliance with H&S legislation, company policies, and client standards
* Carry out site audits, inspections, and compliance checks
* Review RAMS, permits, and method statements before works commence
* Ensure correct use of PPE, plant, and equipment
* Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions
Supervisory / Site Duties
* Act as Working Supervisor when required, leading teams on-site
* Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
* Monitor quality of workmanship and adherence to specifications
Reporting & Administration
* Complete site reports, compliance documentation, and safety records
* Maintain accurate records for audits and client reviews
* Support toolbox talks, briefings, and site inductions
Required Experience & Skills
* Proven experience in a compliance, supervisory, or site management role
* Strong understanding of H&S legislation and compliance standards
* Experience working in utilities, water, gas, or civils preferred
* Ability to manage teams while remaining hands-on
* Strong communication and organisational skills
Qualifications (Essential / Desirable)
* SMSTS or SSSTS (essential)
* IOSH / NEBOSH (desirable)
* First Aid at Work (desirable)
* CSCS Card (essential)
* Full UK driving licence
