As Sous Chef, you’ll be the Head Chefs' go-to for support, leading and engaging the kitchen team to deliver 14 great shifts week in, week out.

Responsibilities include leading shifts, ensuring the kitchen runs effectively and safely, managing stocks, Health & Safety and Hygiene, and manning the pass to ensure our food goes out on-spec and on-time, while upholding high kitchen standards.


What you’ll bring

* You are probably an existing Sous Chef, or perhaps a Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager looking to take the next step.
* Experience with fresh ingredients and strong kitchen skills (food prep hot and cold, cleaning, knife skills, hygiene).
* Proactive, hands-on leadership, delivering excellent kitchen and food standards as part of a high performing team.
* Driven and relentless in overcoming challenges and maintaining quality.
* Familiar with KPIs and decision-making in the Head Chef’s absence regarding labour, stock, and food safety requirements.
* Excellent communication skills to manage stakeholders and build rapport with Ops Chefs and Ops Managers.
* Strong knowledge of rota scheduling, sales and labour forecasting, reporting, recruitment, HR, etc.
* Experience in delivering training and recruitment for kitchen teams including Apprentices, KPs, Chefs, Junior Sous Chefs and Sous Chefs.
