The Facilities Painter and Decorator plays a key role in maintaining the appearance and functionality of company properties, including large-scale warehouse environments. The role involves completing both planned maintenance and reactive painting tasks, ensuring all work aligns with established schedules and operational priorities.

Key Responsibilities

* Responsible for painting the exterior and interior areas of warehouse areas and company properties
* To spend each day carrying out a variety of planned and reactive work on a large-scale retail warehouse site.
* Carrying out reactive and planned works inline with Painting schedule
* Working with wider team at other sites where app
* Working with Engineers on skilled works and projects
* Stay up-to-date with storage and disposal laws, regulations, codes, etc.
* Undertaking works issued through CMMS Systems
* Administration of any software systems used by the group.
* Dealing with warehouse associates, contractors, suppliers and various internal departments where works cross over
* Support in small scale project work and when required.
* Testing and diagnosing equipment and devices
* Supporting the wider group facilities team.
* Assisting where operationally required with any task as per the needs of the business.
* Level 2 or Higher in Painting
* Full clean UK driving license
* Experience in residential or commercial painting and knowledge of re-modelling is essential
* Experience of working in a warehouse/large scale site environment dealing with all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance
* Understanding and experience working with hand and power tools
* Office 365 skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced warehouse environment
* Adaptable and receptive to new ideas from any source. Willing and able to adjust to changing demands and circumstances.
* Skilled and intuitive in identifying solutions to problems. Uses the expertise, skills and experience of others as appropriate.
* Independent, self-reliant, enthusiastic, and determined. The job holder will need to demonstrate tenacity and the capacity for sustained effort and hard work over extended periods.
