We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Business Support Assistant to join our team, providing essential administrative, clerical, and financial support to ensure the delivery of high-quality adult social care.
Based at Lawn View House, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to public service by supporting vulnerable adults within a collaborative and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform a variety of administrative, clerical, and financial tasks under senior staff guidance.
2. Manage and manipulate sensitive information and produce complex reports as needed.
3. Input and verify data accurately and confidentially, especially regarding safeguarding concerns.
4. Handle telephone queries and provide guidance to colleagues, service users, and partner organizations.
5. Support finance processes such as raising orders, reconciling accounts, resolving queries, and handling cash.
6. Organize meetings and events, including minute-taking and tracking actions.
7. Perform reception duties, greet visitors, and respond to general enquiries professionally.
What We’re Looking For
1. Excellent IT skills, including experience with spreadsheets and word processing.
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
3. Experience supporting business functions in a fast-paced environment.
4. Understanding of data protection, confidentiality, and safeguarding.
5. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and stay motivated.
6. Experience in minute-taking and information management.
7. Customer service experience with a helpful, solutions-focused approach.
8. Flexible attitude and willingness to contribute to various tasks.
Person Specification
1. Educated to NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in literacy and numeracy.
2. Committed to customer care, service improvement, and high-quality outcomes.
3. Experience working within policies and processes, emphasizing accuracy and compliance.
