I'm currently supporting an established specialist education organisation in the North East who support young people aged 16-25 with a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities.
The service focuses on helping learners enhance their communication, independence, and employability, enabling smooth and positive transitions into adulthood.
We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist who is passionate about improving the lives of young adults with complex physical and learning needs.
Responsibilities
* Provide thorough, student-centred occupational therapy assessments and targeted interventions.
* Support learners with diverse physical, sensory, and cognitive challenges.
* Help students engage meaningfully in education, self-care, and daily living activities.
* Design, implement, and review individual therapy plans; contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes.
* Work alongside education teams to integrate therapeutic approaches into day-to-day routines.
* Offer supervision, guidance, and clinical support to colleagues and students.
