An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the FCAS programme as our FCAS & GCAP Security Delivery Lead, leading the delivery of key security initiatives, within FCAS, across Programme, Engineering, Secure Infrastructure and Operational Transformation
Salary: Up to £65,000, depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The Opportunity:
The Future Combat Air System (FCAS) is one of the largest, most exciting and challenging programmes within Defence – to design and deliver a Future Combat Air Programme for the RAF in record time. The key cornerstone of FCAS is the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), which sees the UK working with our international partners in Italy and Japan, to deliver a future combat air platform. FCAS and GCAP presents a unique opportunity to influence the design of the system to consider the integration and employment of effects rather than just integrate effectors to an existing platform.
The FCAS portfolio consists of a number of different projects and contracts looking at different areas within Combat Air. MBDA UK is involved in a number of these projects including the TEMPEST project, where some novel technologies are being explored, the main UK FCAS Acquisition Programme, as well as the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP).
As part of the role there will also be times where you would be expected to represent the Head of Programme Enablers, where required, across the Enablers space on security aspects including representing the programme with senior stakeholders at key working groups. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and quickly build relationships both internally and externally. What you will be doing:
Management and communication of Security Grading Guidance (SGG) changes into the wider FCAS and GCAP Programme
Define an internal Programme Security Strategy for the FCAS Programme
Facilitating regular internal security meetings
Updating of Programme Security Management Plans
Communicate Security Policy changes to Senior Management and HR as and when needed
Management of Security related Projects (Analysis and Implementation)
Information Release
Interface between FCAS Senior Management Teams and Security Teams
Lead on Stakeholder Management in the Security community
Participate in trade-offs and Security studies
Liaise at Enterprise level with our FCAS and GCAP Partners
Leading on secure infrastructure upgrades across Bolton, Bristol and Stevenage
Representing security interests and requirements within the collaborative working environment
Accountable for development and delivery of the MBDA FCAS security aspects of Future Manufacturing and Future Supply Chain
Support the Digital & data strategy and Enterprise Architecture for international and national collaboration
What we're looking for from you:
Demonstrable stakeholder management experience
Specialist knowledge in Cyber Security
Awareness of Data Security, Physical Security, Digital Security
Understanding of security defence standards, both nationally and internationally
Awareness of Third party risk management, data security and privacy
Capable of managing multiple projects/work packages with Information Security
Ability to influence and guide a narrative around Operational Security
Able to understand Network Security
Organisational/co-ordination experience; ability to work with and through others
Product management experience is not essential but could be helpful
System Engineering understanding
