Metro Rod is a national drainage and plumbing service provider established over 30 years ago and with sales of over 30 million pounds. Metro Rod has 42 different depots and our Wigan branch is currently looking to recruit an experienced drainage engineer to join their expanding team of plumbers and drainage engineers.
Metro Wigan is a family run depot and has been for over 16 years, we have an established and loyal team of experienced staff and are keen to grow this by recruiting additional plumbers and engineers. Metro Rod offers a 24/7 365 days per week emergency drainage services to both commercial and domestic customers and has some blue chip clients including JD Weatherspoons, Argos, Carillion, Vinci as well as many of the local authorities.
We are looking for an experienced drainage engineer to join our team covering the Mid Lancashire area from North Manchester, through Bury, Bolton and Wigan as far as Blackpool and Clitheroe. No day is the same with a variety of jobs being booked by a range of clients.
Experience of working in the drainage industry for at least 2 years as well as holding a class 2 licence are essential. Ideal candidate should be flexible, hard working and confident, able to communicate with people at all levels from clients, to management and head office. You should be able to work as part of a team as well as being happy to work alone.
Due to operating 24/7 the suitable candidate must be willing to work some evenings and weekends and would also participate in an on call rota, as well as blocks of night turns.
