We have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Manager to join us in our production department. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective working of your team over the course of a shift, delegating tasks to your staff, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry guidelines.
Key areas of responsibility:
* The highest standards of Health & Safety requirements are adhered to by the Production Team.
* The highest standards of Quality Compliance are achieved by the Production Team.
* Improve the skills level of the Production Team.
* We achieve a minimum OEE figure of 90%.
* We achieve a maximum production scrap level of 7%.
* Senior production team ensures products meet the required specification.
* Achieve the production plan with effective management and shift planning.
The person:
* Strong individual with an analytical and logical approach to problem-solving.
* Someone who has high attention to detail.
* A can-do attitude, able to overcome obstacles with a team approach.
* Organizational and planning skills to manage time and meet deadlines and objectives.
* Interpersonal skills that enable you to work with people at all levels and to motivate others.
Knowledge, training, and experience required:
* Maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of legislation that applies to the Company regarding Health & Safety, Environmental, BRC/IoP, and Quality.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Some knowledge of film extrusion, printing, and converting operations.
* A detailed knowledge of compliance requirements applicable to the business – BRC, ISO9001, and previous quality management role within a manufacturing organization.
* Systems Evaluation - Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
Package:
* Salary range £40,000, then £42,000 after a successful probationary period.
* Length of Service Award.
* Hours of work: 12-hour shift.
* Annual performance bonus.
