Occupational Therapist North West and Dales
(High Peak based) 37 hours, permanent contract.
Job Overview
Derbyshire County Council Adult Social Care and Health is seeking a professionally qualified and HCPC registered Occupational Therapist to join their team in High Peak, covering the north west of the County. The role requires an experienced Grade 11 Occupational Therapist who can work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
* Build relationships to support adults in maximizing independence within the community.
* Deliver a strength‑based, proportionate, personalised, safe and sustainable response for local adults, their carers and families.
* Work across a variety of areas including safeguarding, complex health needs, moving and handling, learning disabilities, behaviours that challenge, duty team responses, assistive technology, hospital liaison, housing and major adaptations.
* Contribute to inter‑agency and multidisciplinary approaches across the council and other statutory bodies.
* Participate in risk‑taking, personal resilience initiatives and support the overall team ethos of good support, advice, supervision and nurturing.
Qualifications and Experience
* Professionally qualified Occupational Therapist.
* HCPC registration.
* Experience at Level 11 (Grade 11) or equivalent.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
