About the role We are looking for a Night Planner to support our overnight transport operation at Wedgnock. This is a key role within the network, responsible for real-time planning, driver and vehicle allocation, and ensuring the smooth execution of all night deliveries. You will act as the central point of control between drivers, warehouse, and customer service, keeping the operation on track and responding to any issues as they arise. These are demanding roles which requires computer knowledge, a positive attitude, skill to problem solve and the ability to remain calm whilst working under pressure. Key Responsibilities Planning and allocating drivers and vehicles across all night routes Managing live operational changes, delays, and issues in real time Communicating with drivers throughout the shift to ensure route adherence Liaising with warehouse teams to ensure freight is ready and correctly loaded Providing updates to internal teams and customers where required Monitoring delivery performance against SLAs and escalating where necessary What we are looking for Experience in transport planning or logistics operations (preferred) Strong decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure Good organisational and problem-solving skills Confident communication and IT skills Shift pattern Monday Friday 22:00- 06:00 full flexibility is required to meet changing operational requirements. Based at our Depot on Wegdnock Lane, Warwick.
