The Role You and your Team Reporting to the Senior Manager Mortgages & Specialist Portfolios, as the Lead Commercial Manager you will support the management of the Second Charge Mortgage (2CM) portfolio, helping to deliver strong commercial returns. The role will support the transition to warehouse‑led data structures by developing clear, executive‑level reporting and strengthening portfolio oversight. You will work closely with external origination and servicing partners and collaborate with senior internal stakeholders across Treasury, Finance, Risk, Legal and Customer teams. As a Lead Commercial Manager, you will: Enhancing the developing oversight framework for our mortgage portfolio, understanding, managing and influencing the key drivers of the 2CM product and portfolio performance. Delivery of trading information and narrative to support interactions up to/with ExCo level. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships across the business, ensuring continued suitability of 2CM outputs. Managing relationships with external lending partners to deliver optimal returns for the Group. Becoming key business contact with data partners as 2CM product transitions to a data warehouse. Regular product assessments to identify opportunities to drive commercial value and continuous improvement Deputising for the Senior Manager in relevant committees / forums as required What We’re Looking For Experience of mortgage lending and the key drivers to deliver sustainable profits. Proven track record in commercial / product and pricing strategy in FS. Strong knowledge of lending products and market dynamics. Understanding of regulatory, legislative and compliance requirements in the UK FS sector.
