We are seeking a Welsh Language Education Officer who will play a vital role in developing Welsh Language and culture in settings and schools, leading immersion provision and promoting the benefits of a Welsh language education to increase the number of pupils in our Welsh medium schools. They will take a lead role in strengthening the work of the Welsh in Education Forum and delivering on the targets in the WESP and working in partnership with the Local Authority School Improvement Service to support the development of Welsh language skills and culture in schools to ensure they are ready to meet the requirements of the Welsh Language Bill in 2027.
Salary would be pro rata if not working full time hours or 52 weeks per year; i.e. 37 hours per week / 32.5 per week for School Teachers.
County Hall (Rhadyr - Usk), NP15 1GA, United Kingdom. This may change in the future if the service location needs to relocate. Relocation or disturbance expenses will not be paid if this happens.

Welsh language skills are desirable.
