Overall Purpose of the Job
We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Junior Buyer to join our Oil & Gas operations. Supporting a fast-paced and highly regulated environment, you will play a key role in sourcing and procuring materials and services critical to project and operational delivery.
This position requires an understanding of supply chain processes within the Oil & Gas sector, ensuring goods and services are obtained to strict technical specifications, quality standards, and project timelines, while maintaining cost efficiency.
This role will offer you:

Key Activities and Accountabilities
3. Source competitive bids from approved and qualified suppliers in line with technical specifications, industry standards, budget, and project schedules
4. Assist with RFQs (Requests for Quotation) and supplier bid evaluations for equipment, materials, and services
5. Create and negotiate Purchase Orders, ensuring vendor compliance with delivery schedules and contractual requirements
6. Expedite orders and proactively manage supplier performance to minimise delays to offshore/onshore operations
7. Work closely with QA/QC teams to manage vendor non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and closed out promptly
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement
9. Coordinate rental equipment and service requirements to support operational and maintenance activities
10. Liaise with internal stakeholders including Engineering, Operations, and Finance to ensure procurement activities align with project needs
11. Support Accounts with invoice queries, approvals, and SAP updates, particularly for service-based and rental contracts
12. Assist in supplier audits, performance reviews, and pre-qualification processes in line with industry and company standards
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
13. Previous experience in procurement, preferably within Oil & Gas, energy, or a related industrial sector
14. Familiarity with Oil & Gas equipment, materials, and service procurement processes is advantageous
15. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
16. Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)
17. Understanding of QA/QC processes and supplier compliance within a regulated industry
18. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
19. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
